I hand-painted this folding lap table to bring a bit of a holiday feeling to your everyday routine. The bamboo surface features an original coastal scene of a poolside moment. I use professional acrylics and finish the top with a thick food-safe resin. This makes the surface waterproof and durable. You can use it for breakfast in bed or as a sturdy spot for your laptop on the lounge.

The table is made from sustainable bamboo and features folding legs. You can tuck the legs away to use it as a standard serving tray or to store it flat when you are done. Because I paint these by hand in my Newcastle studio, your table will have its own unique character. No two are exactly the same.

How to look after it: Wipe the surface down with a damp cloth and warm soapy water. Do not submerge the bamboo in water or put it in the dishwasher. If the wood looks dry after a while, you can rub in a little bit of vegetable oil to keep it looking new.

I exclusively use professional-grade acrylic paints known for their high pigment load and exceptional lightfastness. This ensures the vibrant teals and golden ochres remain as vivid as the day they were painted, resisting fading over time.

Food-Safe & Durable Finish

Since these pieces are meant for entertaining, I seal every hand-painted design with a premium, glass-like resin. This coating is completely food-safe and creates a heat-resistant, durable barrier. It protects the artwork from spills and wear, so you can actually use your serving sets for appetizers and platters without worrying about damaging the art.

Artisan Bamboo & Steel

I choose high-quality sustainable bamboo for the trays and stainless steel for the matching cheese tools to ensure the base of the work is as solid as the painting itself. These materials are chosen for their longevity and natural feel, making them perfect as a permanent centerpiece or a reliable set for your next gathering.
